Much Ado About Nothing

Doncaster Playhouse

by William Shakespeare

2016

To commemorate 400 years of Shakespeare, Third Door Theatre brought one of the Bard’s most beloved and beguiling comedies to life at The Doncaster Playhouse.

'Third Door Theatre produce a well-polished and orchestrated performance of this delightful comedy. There are many great ideas in this show that are beautifully executed, especially the musical interludes which are delicate and well-timed.' (Stage Whispers)

A play about the follies of love, marriage, mischief and revenge! Against the backdrop of a battle of wits betwixt the original bachelorette Beatrice and confirmed single-man Signor Benedick, there is much-ado in this merry adaptation about courtship and young love. A modern re-imagining of the classic text, honouring the original play in a contemporary context and style.

'A star danced, and under that was I born!' (Beatrice)
